Jean-Pol Poncelet, General Director, Foratom

During a long and distinguished career in industry and public service, Jean-Pol Poncelet held several high-level positions within Ondraf/Niras, AREVA, ESA, the Belgian government,… He recently became the Director General of the European Atomic Forum, FORATOM, the Brussels-based trade association for the nuclear energy industry in Europe. Willy De Roovere, General Director, FANC-AFCN

Willy De Roovere joined the FANC-AFCN in 2006 as General Director, after a short passage at Belgonucleaire and some 30 years at Electrabel, including an 11 years assignment as the general site manager of the Doel NPP.

 My name is Vincent Massaut. I was born in 1957. I’ve studied at the University of Liège. I’ve made all my studies there. I graduated in electromechanical engineering with a specialization in nuclear engineering. It was at that time one part of the electromechanical education in engineering.

Luc Geraets, VP Nuclear Activities Division, GDF-Suez

What is your career path and what is your role at GDF-Suez?

My name is Luc Geraets. I’ve been with the company now for 37 years. I’m a mechanical engineer. I graduated from Louvain back in 1969 and I stayed working at the university for 5 years. I got a PHD in mechanical engineering. After that, in 1974, there was no opening for academic career at that point in time. I looked around the industry and joined what was at that time Traction Electricity which became after several changes Tractebel Engineering, the engineering office of GDF-Suez. I’ve worked for Tractebel for 20 years, mostly in the mechanical area and also project management for engineering projects.
