Young Generation

 

Dear Guest,

Whether you are young or young at heart, I am happy to welcome at the Belgian Nuclear Society - Young Generation (YG) site. The YG network is a subgroup of the BNS for people younger than 36.

We are a group of enthusiastic people who try to bring together young professionals and students interested in nuclear in its broadest sense. We organise our own activities for young nuclear professionals and participate to BNS evening lectures. Besides the transfer knowledge about the fascinating nuclear science towards young professionals and students, we try to inform the public about the peaceful applications of nuclear energy, and of course ... we're very good at combining "business" with "pleasure"!

Hopefully our YG Network can also help to inform you (public, students and young profesionnals) in an objective way about all aspects of nuclear science (opportunities and issues). I personally think it is a task of every young nuclear professional to communicate to the public about nuclear. Only in this way one can discuss in a reasonable and depolarised way about this fascinating science. A challenge for our motivated YG!

Become Member of the Young Generation Network of the BNS !

  • You are a Belgian young (<36) nuclear professional?
  • You want to know more about the nuclear sector in and outside Belgium?
  • You would like to be invited for interesting Evening Lectures of the BNS-YG and the BNS?
  • You would like to be invited (and have a reduced fee) on unique Technical Visits ?
  • You would like to meet other young professionals in an informal atmosphere on social events?
    ...

Don't hesitate any more and become member of the YGN! Complete the membership form (including two references), and send it together with your CV and a short motivation letter to the BNS secretary ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Inform yourself at your company, research institute or university for the payment of the membership fee of 25.00 EUR. Many company support the BNS-YG by paying the membership fee to stimulate their employees.

Don't be afraid if this procedure seems complicated to you! Do not hesitate to contact the YG chairing team ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) if you have questions about the references (this is only a formal procedure). In order to facilitate this procedure, the YGN provides you a standard motivation letter.
